Paleo Lunches & Breakfasts on the Go by Diana Rodgers & Giveaway!

I was so excited to receive a review copy of Diana Rodgers' new book, Paleo Lunches & Breakfasts on the Go.  After spending some time going through this beautiful book, I picked out some recipes to put it to the Paleo Review test.

I started out with Ginger and Spice Breakfast Sausage.  I usually really only have traditional breakfast foods on the weekends out at my favorite diner.  These sausages were so easy and quick to prepare, I might just start making them during the week.

Those who are regular readers know I'm always looking for a quick and easy meal, and the Spicy Salmon & Cucumber "Noodle"Salad didn't disappoint me.  This refreshing quick dish shows you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen to have a great meal.

Next up, I tried the Chicken Avocado Bacon Salad.  If you're looking for a filling decadent creamy salad for any meal, give this one a try.  In making this recipe, I also got to test out Diana's mayonnaise recipe and Ranch dressing recipe both will be going in to my recipe binder of keepers.

I was super excited to see that she had a recipe for Lamb Tzatziki Gyros as I've not really had gyros since going paleo as most restaurant preparations are not gluten free.  I cannot believe how quickly I went through the loaf of lamb gyros I made.  Yum. Yum. Yum.  Her Tzatziki Sauce was as good as any I remember at a restaurant.

While I didn't cook this recipe myself, I did get to taste her Peppery Smooth Gazpacho at Baconpalooza.  She says in the book that its a Gazpacho for people that usually don't like Gazpacho and she's right.  I usually don't, but this was quite tasty.  I loved her Baconpalooza preparation- what a great idea for a party.

If you're looking for some new ideas for paleo dishes, Diana's book is full of them, but wait, there's more!  In addition to the great recipes with pretty pictures, Diana provides advice on how to get started eating a paleo template; dining out; common pitfall; and how to stock your pantry.  She talks a bit about sustainable farming and food quality.  Diana's book also has an excellent detailed index.  This feature has often been lacking in many paleo cookbooks.  The index by ingredient provides not just page numbers but recipe names.

Unfortunately, I've not seen where Diana has shared any of the recipes I've tried out, so you'll have to buy the book, or perhaps win a copy here!  That's right, I'm giving away one copy of Paleo Lunches & Breakfasts on the Go!
